When I was small I was watching my mom create a large painting for a pub. It was a beautiful stag jumping over a dead log when I asked her how she did that her response was " It's magic Katie girl just magic!" I have been trying everyday to create the magic she distilled in me. My experience is in large scale faux and murals to traditional art, acrylics, wood and other mediums. Each piece contains a fragment of myself, representing my ideas of current and past experiences. While enjoying different media and textures I can portray a feeling or movement to make my compositions interesting. The angels are the ones that hit home with most of us. Giving us a chance to see the problem but knowing we can fix it with faith. I try to make a point with concern or wonder, for as an artist I try to bridge that gap with my imagination. I hope I leave my viewers with a feeling of want, a want to learn, a want to explore and a want for a better life for all.
